Which languages can my AI agent handle?
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Your Maple AI agent can speak more than one language, so you can serve callers in the language they're most comfortable with.
For the best accuracy, though, we recommend turning on only the languages you actually need. Quality is strongest with one primary language plus, at most, one additional language. Adding more than that can reduce how accurately the agent understands and responds, so it's worth being selective.
The initial welcome greeting is always in English. From there, the agent can continue in whichever other language you've enabled. Turn on only the languages your callers actually use, and you'll get the most reliable results.
A couple of things to keep in mind about voice quality: the AI currently speaks every language with the same underlying voice, which carries a natural American accent regardless of which language is selected — so multilingual speech may sound accented rather than native. This is a known limitation of the current voice models, not a bug, and it's something our team is actively working to improve.
If you need a language that isn't currently available, reach out to Maple Support — language availability is expanding, and letting us know which language your callers need helps us prioritize what to add next.
